Join us for a thrilling one-hour ghost tour through St. Augustine’s historic district, hitting all the most haunted hot spots—including the infamous lighthouse!

Equipped with EMF meters and thermal cameras, you’ll track paranormal activity as your guide shares chilling tales of the city’s restless spirits.

You’ll even have the chance to do a little ghost hunting on some of the most active haunted grounds. Dare to uncover the supernatural side of the nation’s oldest city.

  • How much does the private ghost tour cost?

Our private ghost tour in St. Augustine is $225 total for up to 4 guests. Unlike per-person ghost tours, you are booking the entire experience just for your group. With 4 guests, that works out to just $56.25 per person for a completely private tour.

    Your $225 private tour includes:

    • A 1-hour guided ghost tour through historic St. Augustine
    • Private seating for up to 4 guests in our air-conditioned GEM vehicle, with a center table and cup holders
    • A dedicated tour guide
    • Two-way communicator headsets for each guest
    • An EMF meter for each guest to use during the tour
    • One thermal imaging reader for your group to use
    • Stops at some of St. Augustine’s famously haunted locations

Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks to enjoy along the way.

The price is $225 per private tour, whether you have 1, 2, 3, or 4 guests. Gratuity for your guide/driver is not included and is always appreciated.

  • Where does the ghost tour start? Do you offer hotel pickup?

Seaside Adventures or Historic District PickUp

Our private St. Augustine ghost tour begins at Seaside Adventures, located at 606 N. Ponce De Leon Blvd., St. Augustine, FL 32084.

For added convenience, we also offer complimentary pickup from hotels within St. Augustine’s Historic District. If your hotel is within our pickup area, you can choose hotel pickup when booking your tour.

After meeting your guide, your group will board our air-conditioned GEM vehicle and set out on your private 1-hour ghost tour through historic St. Augustine.

  • What haunted locations do you visit on the St. Augustine ghost tour?

Our private St. Augustine ghost tour visits eight haunted and historic locations throughout St. Augustine, including the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum, Huguenot Cemetery, Tolomato Cemetery, Old City Gates, Castillo de San Marcos, Spanish Military Hospital Museum, Flagler College, and Harry’s Seafood Bar & Grille.

During your 1-hour tour, you’ll visit:

    • St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum – One of St. Augustine’s most famous paranormal locations, with a long history of reported ghostly encounters.
    • Huguenot Cemetery – A historic cemetery associated with St. Augustine’s yellow fever epidemic and generations of ghost stories.
    • Tolomato Cemetery – One of the city’s oldest historic cemeteries and the setting for numerous local legends and reported paranormal experiences.
    • Old City Gates – The historic entrance to St. Augustine and home to one of the city’s most enduring ghost stories.
    • Castillo de San Marcos – St. Augustine’s centuries-old Spanish fort, surrounded by stories of soldiers, prisoners, tragedy, and unexplained activity.
    • Spanish Military Hospital Museum – A location tied to St. Augustine’s colonial history, early medical practices, and tales of lingering spirits.
    • Flagler College – Originally Henry Flagler’s grand Hotel Ponce de Leon and the source of several long-running ghost stories.
    • Harry’s Seafood Bar & Grille – A popular historic-district location with its own stories of unexplained encounters.

Because this is a private vehicle ghost tour rather than a walking tour, we’re able to travel beyond the immediate downtown area to locations such as the St. Augustine Lighthouse while still visiting all eight stops during your experience.

Guests can use the provided EMF meters and thermal imaging reader along the way as they explore the haunted history and paranormal stories of America’s oldest city.

  • What is included with the private ghost tour?

    • Two-way communicator headsets so you can clearly hear your guide throughout the tour
    • An EMF meter for each guest to use while investigating paranormal activity
    • One thermal imaging reader for your group to use during the tour

  • Is there an age requirement for the ghost tour?

Our St. Augustine ghost tour is designed for a mature audience, but there is no minimum age requirement. Children are welcome to attend, and we leave it up to parents to decide whether their child is comfortable with spooky stories and a paranormal-themed experience.

The tour combines immersive recorded storytelling with commentary and personal experiences from your guide. Our ghost narrator has a creepy voice and sets a spooky tone as you visit some of St. Augustine's most haunted locations.

For parents who want to experience a ghost tour with their children, the private tour format offers a little more peace of mind. Your group has the GEM entirely to yourselves, so there's no need to worry about a child becoming nervous, asking questions, or disturbing a large group of other guests.

The spooky storytelling is the same for every tour and cannot be adjusted based on age, so parental discretion is encouraged.

  • How many people can join the private ghost tour?

Our private St. Augustine ghost tour accommodates 1 to 4 guests. Every booking reserves the entire air-conditioned GEM exclusively for your group—you will never be combined with other guests.

The GEM is designed for a comfortable, social experience, with seating around a center table and cup holders for drinks and snacks. Whether you're planning a date night, a night out with friends, or bringing the family along, the experience remains completely private.

The maximum group size is 4 guests, allowing everyone to comfortably participate, use the provided paranormal investigation equipment, hear the stories, and interact with your guide throughout the tour.

The private tour is $225 total for your group, whether you have 1, 2, 3, or 4 guests.

  • When are private ghost tours available?

Our private St. Augustine ghost tours are offered on select evenings throughout the year, and availability is limited. Because every tour is completely private for your group of up to 4 guests, advance reservations are recommended, especially for weekends, holidays, and busy travel periods.

Ghost tours are not offered during St. Augustine’s Nights of Lights season. During this seasonal blackout, our air-conditioned GEM transforms into a private Nights of Lights tour, giving groups of up to 4 guests a comfortable and private way to experience St. Augustine’s famous holiday lights.

Once Nights of Lights has ended, our private St. Augustine ghost tours return for the season.

If a ghost tour is on your St. Augustine itinerary, we recommend checking availability and reserving your preferred evening in advance.

  • Are pets allowed on the private ghost tour?

For the comfort and safety of all guests, pets are not permitted aboard our GEM vehicles. Trained service animals are welcome in accordance with applicable requirements.

If you will be traveling with a service animal, please let us know when booking so we can help make your experience as comfortable as possible.

  • Is there a lot of walking on the ghost tour?

No. Our private St. Augustine ghost tour is primarily a ride-along experience, making it a great option for guests who want to explore St. Augustine’s haunted locations without walking from stop to stop.

Guests ride between locations in our air-conditioned GEM vehicle. At select haunted locations, you may have the opportunity to step out, explore the grounds, and use your paranormal investigation equipment, but getting out of the vehicle is optional.

Guests who prefer not to walk can remain comfortably aboard the GEM and still enjoy the stories and experience throughout the tour.

Guests should be able to safely enter and exit the GEM vehicle. If you have specific mobility or accessibility concerns, please contact us before booking so we can help determine whether the tour will be a comfortable fit.

  • Do you go inside any haunted buildings during the ghost tour?

No. Our private St. Augustine ghost tour does not enter the buildings or attractions along the route. Instead, you’ll travel to each haunted location aboard your private GEM while hearing the history, ghost stories, and reported paranormal experiences connected to the site.

At select stops, you’ll have the opportunity to step out of the GEM and use your EMF meters and thermal imaging reader to investigate the area from publicly accessible locations.

This format allows us to visit all eight haunted locations during your 1-hour tour, including locations beyond the Historic District such as the St. Augustine Lighthouse, without spending your tour time waiting to enter individual attractions.

  • What should I bring on the ghost tour?

You don’t need to bring any special equipment for your private St. Augustine ghost tour. We provide the paranormal investigation equipment you’ll use during the experience, including an EMF meter for each guest and a thermal imaging reader for your group.

    We recommend bringing:

    • A fully charged phone or camera for photos and videos
    • Comfortable shoes if you plan to step out and explore at the stops
    • Any personal items you may need during the 1-hour tour

You’re also welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks to enjoy aboard the GEM. Your private air-conditioned vehicle includes a center table and cup holders, making it easy to bring something along for the ride.

Most importantly, bring your curiosity—and be ready to explore the darker side of America’s oldest city.

  • Do ghost tours run in the rain?

Yes! Our private St. Augustine ghost tours operate rain or shine, as long as weather conditions are safe. You’ll spend most of your tour aboard our enclosed, air-conditioned GEM vehicle, so a little Florida rain doesn’t have to ruin your spooky night.

Getting out of the GEM at haunted locations is optional, so if it’s raining, you can stay inside and continue enjoying the stories and experience from the vehicle.

In the event of severe weather, dangerous conditions, or prolonged lightning, we may delay, reschedule, or cancel a tour for safety. If Seaside Adventures determines that your tour cannot safely operate, we’ll contact you with your options.

Florida weather can add a little atmosphere to a ghost tour—but safety always comes first.

  • Is smoking or vaping allowed during the ghost tour?

No. Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside our GEM vehicles at any time.

Because your ghost tour is a 1-hour experience, we ask that guests refrain from smoking or vaping for the duration of the tour.

  • Is the St. Augustine ghost tour private?

Yes. Every Seaside Adventures ghost tour is completely private for your group of up to 4 guests. You will never be combined with other guests or placed into a larger tour group.

Your group has its own air-conditioned GEM vehicle and dedicated guide for the entire 1-hour experience. This creates a more personal way to explore St. Augustine’s haunted history, whether you’re planning a date night, an evening with friends, or bringing the family along.

Because the experience is private, you’re free to ask questions, react to the stories, use the paranormal equipment, and enjoy the tour together without worrying about a large group of strangers.

  • Is there an air-conditioned ghost tour in St. Augustine?

Yes! Seaside Adventures offers a private St. Augustine ghost tour aboard an enclosed, air-conditioned GEM vehicle for groups of up to 4 guests.

Instead of walking from location to location in the Florida heat or humidity, you’ll travel comfortably between eight haunted and historic locations throughout St. Augustine.

Your private GEM also features a center table and cup holders, and you’re welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks to enjoy during the tour.

  • Is this a walking ghost tour?

No. Seaside Adventures offers a private vehicle-based St. Augustine ghost tour rather than a traditional walking ghost tour.

Your group travels between eight haunted and historic locations aboard an enclosed, air-conditioned GEM vehicle. At select stops, you’ll have the opportunity to step out, explore the area, and use your paranormal investigation equipment, but getting out of the vehicle is optional.

This allows you to experience haunted locations throughout St. Augustine—including the St. Augustine Lighthouse—without having to walk from site to site.

  • What makes the Seaside Adventures ghost tour different from other St. Augustine ghost tours?

Seaside Adventures offers a completely private, vehicle-based ghost tour in St. Augustine for groups of up to 4 guests. Instead of joining a large walking tour, your group gets its own enclosed, air-conditioned GEM vehicle and dedicated guide for the entire 1-hour experience.

Our route visits eight haunted and historic locations throughout St. Augustine, including the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum, Castillo de San Marcos, Huguenot Cemetery, Tolomato Cemetery, Old City Gates, Spanish Military Hospital Museum, Flagler College, and Harry’s Seafood Bar & Grille.

The experience also includes paranormal investigation equipment at no additional charge, with an EMF meter for each guest and a thermal imaging reader for your group to use along the way.

There is very little required walking, getting out at stops is optional, and guests are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks to enjoy around the GEM’s center table. Complimentary hotel pickup is also available from participating locations within St. Augustine’s Historic District.

The result is a more intimate way to experience St. Augustine’s haunted history—with your own vehicle, your own guide, paranormal equipment, air conditioning, and no strangers added to your group.

  • Does the ghost tour visit the St. Augustine Lighthouse?

Yes. The St. Augustine Lighthouse is one of the eight haunted locations visited during every Seaside Adventures private ghost tour.

Because our ghost tour travels by private GEM rather than on foot, we're able to venture beyond the Historic District and include the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum, one of the city’s best-known locations for ghost stories and reported paranormal activity.

You’ll hear about the haunted history and stories associated with the Lighthouse as part of your 1-hour experience before continuing to the other haunted locations along our route.

  • Do you provide ghost-hunting or paranormal investigation equipment?

Yes. Paranormal investigation equipment is included with every Seaside Adventures private ghost tour at no additional charge.

Each guest receives an EMF meter to use during the experience, and your group will also have access to a thermal imaging reader as you visit haunted locations throughout St. Augustine.

You don’t need to rent equipment or purchase a paranormal investigation upgrade—the equipment is already included in your $225 private tour price.

  • Can I book a private ghost tour for just two people?

Absolutely. Our private St. Augustine ghost tour can be booked for 1 to 4 guests, making it a great option for couples who want to experience St. Augustine’s haunted history without joining a larger group.

When you book, the entire GEM is reserved exclusively for you. Even if there are only two guests, no other guests will be added to your tour.

The price is $225 total per private tour, whether your group includes 1, 2, 3, or 4 guests.

  • Can we bring drinks or snacks on the ghost tour?

Yes! Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks to enjoy during the private ghost tour.

Your air-conditioned GEM features a center table and cup holders, so you can bring something along and enjoy it while traveling between St. Augustine’s haunted locations.

Because the vehicle is reserved exclusively for your group of up to 4 guests, the experience is designed to feel comfortable, private, and social while you explore the darker side of St. Augustine.

  • Do I need to make a reservation in advance?

Advance reservations are highly recommended for our private St. Augustine ghost tour. Each tour is reserved exclusively for one group of up to 4 guests, so availability is limited.

Booking ahead is especially recommended for weekends, holidays, and busy travel periods in St. Augustine.

Ghost tours are also unavailable during St. Augustine’s Nights of Lights season, when our GEM is used for our private Nights of Lights experience. If a ghost tour is on your St. Augustine itinerary, we recommend reserving your preferred date and time in advance.
